Enhancement in item inquiry in Rosetta Enterprise shows new fields for incoming purchase and booked order quantities.

Getting the right inventory balance is a huge challenge for many organizations. With Rosetta Enterprise inventory, you can view your inventory balances in real time. The existing item inquiry screen shows the “Total on Hand” quantity, the “Available” balance or the available quantity to promise for  customers,  the “On Order” or those that are already reserved to customers but are not yet shipped, and the “Committed” or those that are to be used for production.



With the new enhancement, we have added fields for “Incoming Purchase” and “Booked Order”. The incoming purchases are the quantity from approved purchase orders waiting for delivery from suppliers. This will have inventory status of “PORECV”. Inventory with this status cannot be reserved to customers. On the other hand, the booked orders are the sales orders that have been booked by the salesman but not yet allocated or reserved. This will have inventory status of “SOBOOK”. Once the order is released and reserved, the booked orders quantity will be decremented and the on order quantity will be incremented.

The new item inquiry gives you a clearer view of what is going on to each item and plan ahead. Avoid over stocking of items by knowing the incoming purchases while the booked orders gives an idea how much is needed to be purchased to fulfill orders.
